Efforts in Controlling Vector and Disease-Carrying Animals in Pesanggrahan Singkarak Tourism Area, Solok Regency by Using Clean Water and Sanitation Technologies
Either residential neighborhoods or the tourism area cannot be separated from vector and disease-carrying animals such as rats, flies, snails, mosquitos, etc. Vector and these animals are being potential as dangerous carrier and contaminator and needed to be cautioned for example malaria, scarlet fever, chikungunya, philariasis (elephant's foot), etc. This research is aimed to know population vector and disease-carrying animal of mouse, flies and mosquitos in the dockyard area of Singkarak. This research was done in a way of conducting rate test (snap trap), flies test (sticky trap), and mosquito's test. Calculation for knowing number of rat population is conducted by using success trap flies population by using sticky trap and mosquito's population by using Man Hour Density (MHD). Based on the research it was known that the number of rat population in dockyard of Singkarak before technology development evidently is still below quality standard value of Health Minister Regulation No.50 of 2017 or it is in safe condition.
