Masculinity in the Guarani Religious Tradition
This text addresses the ideas of masculinity in indigenous religious tradition, particularly in Guarani, a condition inferred from some cultural manifestations and expressions, such as the assignment of roles in daily activities and characteristics of the Guarani language. The studies carried out in the Guarani culture and the testimonies collected in some indigenous communities are analysed. The main characteristics around masculinity are established, except that the perspective of ancestral practice is uncertain, due to the precarious socio-economic situation of the axtors in question.
