Jalan menuju Negara Yahudi dan dilema pelaksanaan zionisme politik

The Zionist movement (World Zionist Organization) as a Product of political Zionism introduced by Theodore Herzl has been used by Jewish People to build their own state in Palestine. Based on Theodore Herzl idea, the Jewish state is a real need as a way out to evade anti-Semitism, which is known widely adopted in Europe in nineteenth century. The Palestine has been chosen as their country is merely used as a reason by the participant of the political Zionist and this was related to the history which said that the land was belong to their people. To defend the argument of this history, they have pointed to their Holy Book which said that land as called Canaan has been given to their people as God covenant to Abraham and Moses.
This study was not aimed to agree the Zionist argument but also did not aim to deny the doctrine of religion such Jewish Religion. Therefore the main objective of this paper was to try to explain what is the political Zionism and how this difference to the spiritual Zionism.
This study will then try to analyze why the political Zionism opposed but no such opposition to spiritual Zionism. My approach in the pages that follow will be, first, try to identify those feature of spiritual Zionism and political Zionism, second, explain the Theory of Jewish Survival and how the political Zionism handled by the Jews in practice on their Zionist movement.
The conclusion of this study was the existence of political Zionism not necessary to be maintained, as the Jewish state already established. The political Zionist may be abolished but not necessary be followed by abolishing the Israel state and expulsion the Jewish people from Palestine as will be no country will accept them. To build an new form of state in Palestine may be the best choosed as it will allow either Jews and Arabs living together in peace in the same country.
