The finite element method of load transfer analysis on pile foundation with axial load at Bulking Station, Dumai-Riau
There are many methods that can be used to calculate the parameter for pile foundation. Until this time, every method has its own benefit, and lack for using it. Nowadays, pile foundation still became the most popular foundation in engineering work. It happens, because the characteristic of the pile that more complex than the other foundation. Still, the pile foundation has many problems because it must be suitable with soil that pile driven it.
The objective of this analysis is to calculate the load transfer of Q total because of the axial load that transpire to a pile. This study use data from Bulking Station project at Dumai-Riau which install the tank. This study also calculate the displacement that happen because the effect from the axial load. The data is analyzed with the Finite Element method. The length of pile is 48 m, diameter 60 cm, and the load is 75.188 ton. The result of this analysis is the total Q is 4633,438172 tons. How much load that affect the depth, the length of pile and the profile of soil. And how it affects the load transfer for the pile.
