Usulan rancangan scooter matic yang memenuhi prinsip ergonomi
Growth of otomotif industry in Indonesia is very fast this time. This matter
cause the demand to yield product with quality that match the desire of consumer
quickly. Scooter matic is one of the most likely vehicle because its operation
which is easier than other vehicle. In Indonesia there have launched many
product of scooter matic from Japan company, which have kinds of colour and
design. But still needed various innovation to increase rider comfortness and
security. One of the most likely scooter matic in Indonesia society is Yamaha Mia
Soul. Therefore, the appearance and feature of Yamaha Mia Soul scooter matic
have to attractive, secure, and comfort so that buyer candidate have interest to
buy the product.
This research studied the design of external appearance and additional
feature to the product of Yamaha Mio Soul scooter matic pursuant to the principle
of ergonomic. The design process started with gathering the sample pictures and
dimension of Yamaha Mia Soul scooter matic, as a mean to know excess and
insuffiency found on the early design. Second process done by identifying
requirement of customer through interview to consumer of Yamaha Mia Soul
scooter matic. This result identify used to respon customer needs which not yet
fufilled with the early design. Third process is examination of statistic and
calculation of persentil pursuant to Indonesian people antropometw Next
process is benchmarking to know product position in emulation of scooter matic
industry. After all data collected successfully, hence can be developed alternative
conception design of scooter matic. Some alternative conception which have
been developed have to be selected to determine best concept. Based on
chosen concept, can be develop the design of Yamaha Mia Soul scooter matic.
Result of new design to Yamaha Mia Soul scooter matic in the form of
scooter matic with dimensions which have fulfilled principle of ergonomic and
also additional features matching with identifying requirement of customer and
analysis of benchmarking. The design of product representated by virtual
prototype. Result of scooter matic design will evaluate again. Evaluation phase
done to know efficacy in improve external appearance additional feature.
Evaluation done by comparing result with principle of ergonomic and also
interview expert and user. From result of evaluation known that result of device
have fulfilled principle of ergonomic compared to design early.
