Pengaruh globalisasi terhadap Kedaulatan Negara

History has shown us that modem nation states posses an important and principle
element, sovereignty. The term modem in this case refers to a long process advanced in
Europe, especially in Western Europe. A transformation process in the Middle Ages era
to renaissance, which resulted a form of society, called as sovereign nation states. They
have an absolute authority to conduct and govern in every aspect of state living.
Now, we living in an era of globalization, which indicated by the escalating
interconnectivity among states. That phenomenon was triggered by excessive economic
integration, which resulted a borderless phenomenon that symptom considered as a
diminishing the sovereignty of a state, even though it still occurred in some aspect only.
The main purpose of this research fundamentally is to pursue an understanding in
state sovereignty refers to the events transpired in Europe in the Middle Ages, which
marked by the waning of feudalism. The events that yielded a modem nation state.
Furthermore, decolonialization has produced a number of new nation states, which
became a stereotype of states in Europe. This period also brought new issues that never
happened before in the history of nation states. Those phenomenons have influenced the
basic element of nation states, which is sovereignty. This era also signed by the fantastic
economic development and the birth of new actors.
Finally, writers try to explain that those new phenomenon are threating the
sovereignty of the states. Nation states facing the challenge and the necessity of
sovereignty questioned in this global era.
